This DEVCON activator is a rubber repair additive designed for use with urethane adhesives. It comes in an 8 fluid ounce bottle and has a specific gravity of 1.12. The cured colour is off-white and the viscosity is 10 cps. It serves as a softening agent for flexible bonding applications.

Application Temperature Range 50 to 90 Degrees F

The product must be applied between 50 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit for proper performance. It withstands continuous service up to a maximum performance temperature of 180 degrees Fahrenheit. The flash point is 359.6 degrees Fahrenheit. VOC content is 640 grams per litre by weight.

Bottle Format For Workshop Use

The bottle container allows controlled dispensing of the activator during adhesive preparation. It contains no methylene chloride, reducing specific handling concerns. The formulation targets flexible urethane systems requiring modified hardness. Buyers needing a different container size or a non-activator adhesive base should select another product.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 8 fl oz bottle or a larger size?

The listed item is the 8 fl oz bottle; no other capacities appear in the product data.

What does the 10 cps viscosity mean when I mix it?

At 10 cps the activator flows like light oil, letting it blend quickly into urethane adhesives for even softening.

How does the 50–90 °F application window limit my work?

You must apply between 50 °F and 90 °F; outside that range the activator may not cure properly.
