Universal HD-over-Coax security camera

The DWC-V6563WTIR is a 5MP vandal dome built for installers who need high-resolution footage over existing coaxial cable. It supports HD-Analog, HD-TVI, HD-CVI and legacy analog signals so it can drop into most older DVR systems without rewiring. The IP66-rated housing withstands rain and dust for reliable outdoor mounting. OSD adjustments travel back up the same coax via UTC for remote configuration.

Resolution and frame-rate limits

At full 5MP the sensor captures 20fps; dropping to 4MP unlocks real-time 30fps for smoother motion. The 2.7–13.5mm vari-focal p-iris lens lets you set the exact field of view during commissioning. True WDR balances high-contrast scenes while Smart DNR 3D noise reduction keeps dark areas clean. Smart IR illuminates to 100ft and synchronises intensity to prevent close-object overexposure.

Installation notes and common issues

The CleanView hydrophobic dome coating repels water, dust and grease, reducing maintenance climbs. UTC control removes the need for a separate data run, but the DVR must support the protocol or the OSD will be inaccessible. Verify that your recorder handles the chosen HD-Analog, HD-TVI or HD-CVI mode before pulling cable. Buyers who need IP networking or PoE power cannot use this camera.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 5MP at 20fps mode or the 4MP at 30fps mode for my DWC-V6563WTIR?

Choose 5MP at 20fps when you need maximum recorded detail for evidence; choose 4MP at 30fps when smoother motion capture matters more than the extra pixels.

What does the 5MP at 20fps spec mean once the camera is installed?

The sensor captures 5-megapixel frames at twenty frames per second, so each recorded clip shows high-resolution detail while moving objects may exhibit slight motion judder compared with thirty frames per second.

Which coax standards does the DWC-V6563WTIR support, and what limits do they impose?

The camera transmits HD-Analog, HD-TVI, HD-CVI and legacy analog signals over the same coaxial cable; resolution and frame-rate ceilings follow the specific DVR standard you connect it to.
