Portable Tripod for Travel Photography

The PISKEKAT AP-02 is an aluminium-alloy tripod built for photographers who need a lightweight support that packs down to 53 cm and 50 mm diameter. Weighing 1.15 kg, it carries up to 8 kg and suits most DSLR cameras. It is not for studio shooters who need a heavier, vibration-damped platform.

Height Range and Angle Limits

Four-section flip-lock legs extend the working height from 43 cm to 160 cm. A quick-angle plate buckle locks the centre column at 23°, 55° or 87° for varied compositions. The column inverts for low-angle and macro work. Users needing geared elevation or taller maximum height will find the range restrictive.

Build Quality and Daily Use

Square-profile leg tubes and a detachable 360° ball head with dual bubble levels provide stable framing and quick levelling. A 63" carrying bag protects the folded unit during transport. Photographers who require integrated monopod conversion or spiked feet for soft ground will need a different model.
