This DIRECT TV SWM3D1V2 DSWM LNB is a new satellite low-noise block downconverter with an integrated single-wire multiswitch. It receives signals from the 99°, 101° and 103° orbital positions through a single cable run. The unit is finished in grey and weighs 2 units. It is designed for DIRECTV Slimline dish installations that need consolidated cabling.

Installations needing more than eight tuners

The built-in multiswitch supports 13 tuners over one coaxial feed, removing the need for a separate SWM16 multiswitch and the four cables it would require from the dish. This suits bars, restaurants or homes running a Genie plus two or more DVRs where tuner counts exceed the older eight-tuner limit. Builders who only need eight tuners or fewer can use a standard SWM3 LNB instead. A SWM PI-21 21v power inserter is required for operation.

Single-cable 13-tuner capacity

The deciding specification is the 13-tuner capacity delivered over one cable from the LNB.
