2-Way Wide Band SWM Splitter

The DIRECTV SPLIT2MRV distributes satellite signals from a single SWM dish or multiswitch to two receivers. It is built for DIRECTV Multi Room Viewing installations and carries the provider’s approval for that environment. Installers use it when a single feed must serve two locations indoors or outdoors.

Tool-free coaxial connections

Each port accepts a standard F-type connector that twists on by hand, so no crimping tool or compression fitting is required. The red-marked port passes up to 500mA of DC power back toward the dish or multiswitch, while the second port blocks DC. A grounding lug is provided; forgetting to bond it to the building ground is the most common oversight that leaves the line unprotected.

Splits one SWM feed into two

The splitter handles the full DIRECTV wideband spectrum with high isolation between outputs, keeping each receiver’s channel map clean. It cannot combine signals from two dishes, and it does not amplify — runs beyond the dish’s rated cable length will still need a separate line amplifier. The single DC-pass port limits remote power to one leg, so a second powered device on the other leg would need its own injector.
