What this cable delivers

The DIXSG Cat 8 Ethernet cable provides 40Gbps data transmission speed and 2000MHz bandwidth over a 50FT length. It uses 26AWG copper conductors arranged in 4 shielded foiled twisted pairs with an aluminum foil layer. Gold plated RJ45 connectors ensure reliable contact for gaming consoles, PCs, routers and smart TVs.

Signal integrity in daily use

The S/FTP shielding and aluminum foil layer reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference from adjacent cables or equipment. The flat braided cotton jacket resists kinking and lies flush along baseboards or under carpets without creating trip hazards. Backward compatibility with Cat6e, Cat6, Cat5 and Cat5e devices means existing hardware works without replacement.

Practical benefits of the flat braid

The thin flat profile allows cleaner routing through door frames, along skirting boards or under rugs compared with round cables. The 24k gold plated contacts inside an aluminum shell resist corrosion better than standard PVC mouldings. The cotton braid adds tensile strength so the cable withstands repeated unplugging and repositioning in home or office setups.

Questions about this item

How do I route the 50FT flat braided cable around door frames without kinking the 26AWG conductors?

Lay the flat cable along baseboards or under carpet; its thin profile slides under doors without bending the internal pairs beyond their minimum radius.

When should I replace the 24k gold-plated RJ45 connectors if the latch tabs weaken?

Replace the cable when a connector no longer clicks securely into a port or shows visible corrosion on the gold contacts.

What limits the 40Gbps throughput first during sustained heavy transfers?

The 2000MHz bandwidth ceiling of the Cat 8 specification caps sustained throughput before the copper or shielding does.
