Right replacement for Dell 17 7779

This new Dr. Battery lithium-polymer pack replaces original Dell part numbers 099NF2, 0V1P4C, 99NF2, FMXMT, V1P4C and VIP4C. It fits Dell Inspiron 17 7779 and Dell Chromebook 13 3380 models. The 7.6V 7000mAh cell delivers 56Wh of capacity. Black housing matches the factory look.

Voltage and capacity must match

The single specification that decides fit is the 7.6V 7000mAh rating printed on your old battery. If the original label shows a different voltage or a significantly different milliampere-hour figure, this pack will not work correctly. Always compare the numbers before ordering.

Simple swap with built-in protection

The battery uses the original connector layout, so installation is a matter of removing the bottom case, unplugging the old pack and snapping this one in. A smart control chip handles short-circuit, overheat and overload protection. The most common issue is forgetting to disconnect the internal cable before lifting the old battery out.

Questions about this item

How long will the 7000mAh capacity last on a full charge in my Dell Inspiron 17 7779?

The 7000mAh rating at 7.6V gives 56Wh of energy. Actual run-time depends on your screen brightness, workload and power settings, but the cell matches the original OEM specification for this model.

Does the 7.6V output match the charging circuit in my Dell Chromebook 13 3380?

Yes. The battery is built to the same 7.6V nominal voltage as the original Dell part numbers 99NF2, V1P4C and FMXMT, so the laptop’s charging controller will recognise it without any firmware change.

Will the MPL05331P-02 fit inside the chassis of my Inspiron 17 7779 without modification?

The pack is a direct replacement for Dell part numbers 099NF2 and 0V1P4C used in the Inspiron 17 7779, so it uses the identical form factor and connector layout for a drop-in fit.
