Versatile All-Purpose Cleaner

Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds Biodegradable Cleaner in Fir & Spruce scent is a plant-based liquid formula for households that want one product for floors, dishes, laundry and general surfaces. The one-gallon bottle supplies a long-lasting volume for routine cleaning tasks. It suits users who prefer essential-oil fragrance over synthetic perfumes.

Sustained-Use Behaviour

The cleaner works in both hard and soft water and rinses freely in hot or cold conditions without leaving residue. Biodegradation exceeds 60 percent after 28 days under ISO 14593, so repeated disposal through household drains remains environmentally sound. The post-consumer recycled plastic bottle supports ongoing waste reduction.

Biodegradable Certification

Leaping Bunny certification confirms the product is never tested on animals, a decisive factor for buyers who require cruelty-free household supplies. The formula avoids harsh pine stump oil, synthetic dyes and artificial fragrances. Shoppers needing a disinfectant or a product registered for medical-grade sanitisation should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 1-gallon bottle of Sal Suds require any special ventilation because of fumes during all-day cleaning jobs?

The formula uses plant-based surfactants with fir needle and spruce essential oils and contains no harsh pine stump oil, synthetic dyes or fragrances, so it does not produce strong chemical fumes that would demand extra ventilation.

What measuring tool do I need to dilute the concentrate correctly for mopping floors?

The product is sold ready-to-use, not concentrated, so you can pour it straight into a mop bucket without any measuring cup or dilution ratio.

Will the biodegradable formula damage the finish on my 20-year-old hardwood floors?

It is described as a versatile all-purpose cleaner that works on multiple surfaces including floors, and the biodegradable plant-based ingredients are designed to rinse clean without leaving residue that could harm older finishes.
