Bulk Cat5e cable for structured wiring

This 1000 ft reel of unshielded twisted-pair cable is built for installers running voice and data drops through walls, ceilings or conduit. The solid 24AWG conductors meet Category 5e performance up to 350 MHz and the easy-pull box pays out cleanly on long pulls.

Suited to new Gigabit Ethernet drops.

The CCA conductors satisfy 10/100/1000 Mbps links but cannot carry the higher current of PoE+ devices over full 100 m distances. The jacket carries no UV or CMX rating, so outdoor or direct-burial use is excluded.

Solid 24AWG CCA construction decides the fit

The copper-clad aluminium core keeps material cost low while still passing Cat5e certification, yet it rules out applications that require pure copper for PoE+ power budgets or repeated flexing.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the cable is performing at Gigabit speeds after installation?

Use a cable certifier or network tester that measures 1000Base-T throughput and confirms the 350 MHz bandwidth across the 1000 ft run.

What comes in the box and what must I purchase separately to terminate the cable?

The box contains 1000 ft of 4-pair solid 24AWG CCA UTP cable with printed footage markers; RJ45 plugs and a crimp tool are not included.

Which version should I choose for a 1000 ft Gigabit Ethernet installation?

The 600000 model is a Cat5e 24AWG solid UTP cable rated for 350 MHz and certified for 10/100/1000 Mbps, making it the correct choice for that distance.
