Product Identity

Duck 1396747 FrogTape Green Masking Tape is a 1.41-inch by 45-yard roll of masking tape treated with PaintBlock Technology. The super-absorbent polymer reacts with latex paint to form a micro-barrier that seals the edges. It is intended for painters who need sharp lines on interior or exterior projects.

Build Integration

The tape fits a standard 3.00-inch core and measures 5.3 mil thick, so it works with common handheld dispensers. Its adhesive releases cleanly from most surfaces for up to 21 days indoors and 7 days in direct sunlight. This reduces the need for touch-up work and frees time for coating tasks.

Ideal Users

The product suits decorators and DIYers who want crisp edges on walls, trim or cabinetry using latex paint. It is not designed for buyers who need a tape rated for high-temperature powder-coating or for masking irregular textured surfaces where a conformable film is required.

Questions about this item

How long can the 1.41" wide tape stay on a surface before the adhesive becomes difficult to remove?

The tape removes cleanly from most surfaces for up to 21 days, or 7 days when exposed to direct sunlight.

Does the 5.3 mil thickness affect how the PaintBlock polymer reacts with latex paint during long painting sessions?

The PaintBlock technology reacts instantly with latex paint to gel and seal the edges regardless of the 5.3 mil thickness, preventing bleed throughout the job.

What core size must my tape dispenser accommodate for the 45 yard roll to fit properly?

The roll uses a 3.00 inch core, so your dispenser must accept that core diameter.
