What it does

The DUKABEL 8541765307 is a 30 cm TRRS to dual 3.5 mm audio adapter that lets you connect a single 4-position headset to a PC or laptop with separate microphone and headphone jacks. It is intended for gamers, streamers and anyone using VOIP applications such as Skype or Google Voice who need to split a combined headset plug into two distinct ports.

Build and connectors

The cable uses 24K gold-plated contacts, oxygen-free copper wiring and a triple-shielded jacket wrapped in a strong nylon braid. A pure metal housing and step-down connector design give a secure fit even when the device is inside a protective case, while the Y-splitter layout keeps the two male TRS plugs neatly separated for daily desktop use.

The deciding spec

This adapter follows the CTIA wiring standard and will not pass microphone signals from iOS headphones, Beats, Bose or any condenser microphone. Buyers who need compatibility with those specific headsets or microphone types should look for a different wiring scheme.

Questions about this item

Does the 3.5 mm TRRS connector follow the CTIA standard?

Yes, the 4-pole jack is wired to the CTIA layout so Android headsets and CTIA microphones work correctly.

Will the two 3.5 mm plugs fit side by side on a typical laptop?

Each plug has a step-down barrel that seats securely in standard audio-out and mic-in jacks even when ports are closely spaced.

What is the correct order to connect the headset and the adapter?

Plug the headset into the female TRRS jack first, then insert the two male plugs into the PC so the hardware is detected properly.
