DuPont Kapton HN Polyimide Film Tape Amber 2 in x 50 ft

DuPont Kapton HN Polyimide Film Tape

This DuPont Kapton HN polyimide film tape is a non-adhesive insulating material supplied as a continuous amber roll. It is intended for users who need a high-temperature film in electrical or industrial settings where adhesive residue is unacceptable.

Build quality and daily handling

The polyimide construction tolerates a maximum performance temperature of 750 degrees F, so the film remains stable during soldering, wave-solder or other thermal processes. Because the roll has no adhesive coating, it can be cut, positioned and removed cleanly without leaving residue on components or work surfaces.

Practical limits of the polyimide standard

The tape carries no voltage rating and no minimum temperature rating, so it must not be relied upon as a primary electrical insulator or in cryogenic environments. Buyers who need a pressure-sensitive bond or a certified dielectric strength value should select a different product.
