Handheld embossing label maker

The Dymo 12966 is a lightweight, portable handheld label maker that uses a mechanical turn-and-click wheel to emboss characters onto tape. It measures 6.25 in x 8.38 in x 3.75 in and comes in a black and grey finish. The starter kit includes the label maker plus three label cartridges, two black and one red, ready for immediate use.

Home organisers and crafters

This tool suits homeowners, DIY enthusiasts and crafters who want simple, tactile labels for scrapbooking, gift tags, jars or general organisation without needing a power source or software. Buyers who need high-volume printing, barcodes, wireless connectivity or the ability to type long lines of text should look at electronic label printers instead.

49-character embossing wheel

The single specification that decides fit is the 49-character wheel containing letters, numbers and symbols, which sets the maximum label length and character set available for every label you create.
