Replacement AC adapter for XP Power units

This new AC adapter replaces XP Power supplies rated at 12V and 8.33A or 7.5A with a DIN4 connector. It fits models AHM100PS12-A, DS916 and DS415 as well as the NSA variant. Buyers who need a different voltage, current rating or connector type cannot use this unit.

DIN4 connector and 12 V output

The single specification that decides compatibility is the DIN4 plug delivering 12 V at either 8.33 A or 7.5 A. Matching both the connector geometry and the electrical ratings ensures the adapter will power the listed XP Power devices without modification.

Thermal and power behaviour

The adapter operates at the stated 12 V and up to 8.33 A within normal commercial temperature ranges. No fan is included, so noise is limited to minimal coil sound. Power draw follows the connected load up to the rated maximum.

Questions about this item

What does the 12 V output mean when the adapter is running a load?

It delivers a steady 12 V DC to the connected device while the load draws up to the rated current.

What does the DIN4 connector limit in practice?

The four-pin DIN plug mates only with sockets wired to the same pinout, so it fits XP Power units such as the AHM100PS12-A, DS916 and DS415 models.

What physical clearance does the adapter need to sit securely?

The brick-style body requires a flat surface area large enough for its footprint and enough cable reach for the DIN4 plug to seat without strain.
