Compact In-Ceiling Pair

The Earthquake Sound ECS 3.0 is a 3-inch full-range architectural speaker sold as a pair for discrete background music or overhead Dolby Atmos channels. Its ultra-compact footprint fits tight ceiling voids where larger drivers cannot.

Self-Enclosed Mounting System

A supplied cut-out template and built-in mounting clips turn installation into a simple cut, connect and snap process. Easy-connect push terminals accept bare wire without tools, while the paintable grille and frame disappear into any ceiling finish.

45-Watt Power Handling

The 45-watt rating at 8-ohm impedance defines the amplifier headroom available for clean output. Buyers needing higher SPL for large rooms or main front channels will require larger drivers with greater power capacity.

Questions about this item

How often will the paintable grille need repainting or replacement?

The grille and frame are paintable to match the ceiling; they require no scheduled replacement under normal indoor use.

What limits output during extended listening sessions?

The 45-Watt power handling and 85 dB sensitivity set the maximum clean output before distortion rises.

How much heat or noise does the speaker generate when run all day?

Passive operation produces no fan noise or active heat; only the amplifier warms, and the 8-Ohm load keeps current modest.
