6 kVA double-conversion UPS for IT rooms
The Eaton 9PX6K delivers 6000 VA and 5400 W of online power protection in a 3U rack or tower form factor. It targets small to medium data centres and infrastructure managers who need efficient, continuous backup for critical loads.
Input window 100–276 V
The unit accepts 50 or 60 Hz and connects via a terminal block with L6-30P plug. Output voltage defaults to 208 V and is selectable among 200, 208, 220, 230 and 240 V. Four outlets provide two L6-20R, two L6-30R and a hardwired option. Surge protection meets IEEE ANSI C62.41 Cat B2.
Runtime 0.13 hour at half load
Hot-swappable lead-acid batteries support extended run configurations. Management uses RS-232 over RJ45, USB HID and an included SNMP network card. The UPS suits installations that can accommodate 106 lb weight and 5.1 by 17.3 by 28.4 inch dimensions. It does not suit buyers who need longer battery autonomy without extra modules.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the L6-20R or L6-30R outlets for my servers?
Use the two L6-30R outlets for loads up to 30 A each, and the two L6-20R outlets for loads up to 20 A each. Total output must not exceed 5400 W.
What does the 5400 W rating mean when the UPS is running my equipment?
It is the maximum real power the unit can supply continuously. At 5.40 kW full load the battery lasts 0.05 hour; at 2.70 kW half load it lasts 0.13 hour.
What does the RS-232 RJ45 and USB HID interface actually let me do?
The USB HID port gives native OS monitoring without extra drivers. The RS-232 RJ45 port connects to the included network card for SNMP management.
