What This Fuse Pack Provides

This pack contains five Eaton Bussmann GDC-5A glass tube fuses rated at 5 amps and 250 volts AC. They use a time-delay design to tolerate brief inrush currents without opening, making them suitable for protecting generator circuits, control panels and similar low-voltage equipment where momentary surges are normal. Each fuse has a cylindrical glass body measuring 20 mm long by 5 mm diameter.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The time-delay element allows temporary overloads such as motor start-up currents to pass while still interrupting sustained fault currents up to the 35-ampere breaking capacity at 250 volts AC. Under continuous operation at or below the 5-ampere rating the fuse runs cool and remains intact; only a prolonged over-current condition will melt the element and open the circuit. The glass body lets you visually confirm the element status after a fault.
