Protects circuits with 2.5 A, 250 V AC glass time-delay fuses rated for 100 A interrupt, supplied in a pack of five
This Eaton Bussmann MDQ series glass fuse provides time-delay circuit protection rated at 2.5 A and 250 V AC. The cylindrical body measures 1-1/4 inches long by 1/4 inch diameter and carries a 100 A interrupt rating at 250 V AC. Supplied in a pack of five for convenient replacement stock.
Ideal for control circuits, instrumentation and small appliances that experience brief inrush currents. Not suitable for high-current mains distribution or applications requiring a rejection-type fuse body. Buyers needing a different current rating or a ceramic body should select an alternative series.
The non-rejection cylindrical design drops into common panel-mount clips, PCB blocks or in-line holders without modification. Time-delay characteristic prevents nuisance opening during motor start-up or transformer energisation. Equivalent to Bussmann MDL, MDV, MDX and Littelfuse 313, 315 series for cross-reference convenience.

A standard 1-1/4 inch by 1/4 inch cylindrical fuse holder or clip set is needed to secure the glass body and make contact with the end caps.
Yes, the MDQ series is listed as equivalent to the MDL series, but the time-delay characteristic allows brief surges without opening, so verify the circuit needs that behavior.
Inspect the glass tube; a visible break in the internal element or discoloration indicates the fuse interrupted the 100 A fault current at 250 V AC as rated.
