Five-pack of 10 A, 250 V AC time-delay glass fuses with 100 A interrupt rating
The Eaton Bussmann S506-10-R is a 10 A, 250 V AC glass cartridge fuse with a time-delay characteristic. It suits technicians and hobbyists protecting low-voltage control circuits, small appliances or instrument panels where brief inrush currents must be tolerated without nuisance opening. Buyers needing a faster-acting or higher interrupting-capacity device should choose a different fuse type.
Glass-body construction means the element runs at the temperature dictated by the circuit current; no active cooling or audible noise is produced. The fuse dissipates only the I²R loss of its own element during normal operation, adding negligible heat to the enclosure. A 100 A interrupting rating at 250 V AC ensures safe clearing of over-currents within its design limits.
The cylindrical 20 mm × 5 mm body fits standard 5 × 20 mm fuse holders such as the HTB series blocks listed in the data. Each pack contains five fuses, providing spares for maintenance without additional packaging. Verify that the holder’s voltage and current ratings match the 250 V AC, 10 A specification before installation.

Insert the 20 mm by 5 mm cylindrical fuse into a compatible HTB series fuse block; the step often missed is confirming the holder is rated for 250 V AC and a 100 A interrupt rating before fitting.
The fuse is a single-element, non-rejection device with no user-serviceable parts; once it interrupts a fault at 100 A, 250 V AC it must be replaced with another S506 or equivalent 218 series fuse.
The 10 A continuous current rating is the first limit; exceeding it causes the time-delay element to open, so the circuit must stay at or below 10 A at 250 V AC for uninterrupted operation.
