Single-pole IEC supplementary protector rated 2 A with thermal-magnetic trip, 277/480 V AC and 48 V DC, 15 kA interrupting, DIN-rail mount, UL 1077 listed
This Eaton FAZ series supplementary protector is a 2 A, single-pole device rated for 277/480 V AC and 48 V DC. It mounts on a DIN rail and uses a toggle actuator with thermal-magnetic trip characteristics. The unit carries a maximum interrupting rating of 15 kA at 277 V AC and meets UL 1077 requirements.
Installers adding a 2 A C-curve supplementary protector to a DIN-rail assembly will find this breaker matches the required voltage and interrupting ratings. It is not for applications that demand a branch-circuit breaker listed to a different UL standard. Buyers needing a different current rating, pole count or trip curve should select another model.
The 2 A rating combined with a C-curve thermal-magnetic trip characteristic defines the overcurrent response for this supplementary protector. This specification determines whether the device will co-ordinate correctly with the downstream load and upstream protection in your circuit.

The thermal-magnetic trip is factory-calibrated and sealed; no user recalibration is required during the service life of this 1-pole FAZ breaker.
The breaker carries a 15 kA interrupting rating at 277 V AC, which is the highest fault-current limit specified for this device.
At its 2 A rating the breaker operates within the temperature rise limits defined by UL 1077 for supplementary protectors; no additional cooling is needed for continuous duty.
