Industrial Audible Signal for SL7 Tower Lights

The Eaton SL7-AP24 is a 70 mm black sounder tier designed to attach to SL7 tower light assemblies. It operates on 24 V AC or DC and draws 0.92 A at 22 W. The unit produces a 100 dB output with selectable continuous or pulse tones. It is built for industrial environments where clear audible alerts are required alongside visual indication.

Environmental Protection and Standards

The housing carries NEMA 4, 4X and 13 ratings plus IP66, meaning it withstands dust, directed water jets and corrosion in indoor or outdoor settings. Compliance includes IEC/EN 60947, UL, CSA and CE marks. The 24 V AC/DC supply voltage is the only power option; the tier cannot be used with other voltages or standalone without a compatible SL7 base and light modules.

Polycarbonate Housing and Mounting Implications

The polycarbonate enclosure measures 2.88 in by 2.88 in by 2.8 in and is finished in black. It mounts directly onto an SL7 tower light stack, adding an audible layer without separate wiring or brackets. Buyers needing a different diameter, a higher sound pressure level, or a standalone siren will need a different product.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 24V AC/DC version or another voltage?

This unit runs on 24V AC/DC only; match your supply to that rating.

What does the 100 dB rating mean in a real installation?

At one metre the sounder reaches 100 dB, loud enough for noisy workshops or outdoor areas.

How does the NEMA 4, 4X, 13 and IP66 rating limit where I can mount it?

The ratings allow outdoor use with hose-down water and dust; do not submerge the unit.
