Product identity

Edifier G2000 is a 2.0 desktop speaker system with integrated Bluetooth 4.2, USB and 3.5 mm AUX inputs. It targets gamers and multimedia users who want a compact stereo setup with selectable EQ presets for games, music and movies. The pink column cabinets sit at a 10 degree elevation to direct sound toward the listener.

Thermals noise power

The speakers deliver 8 W + 8 W RMS and 32 W peak power from an internal amplifier with a measured noise floor of 25 dB (A). No active cooling is used, so operation stays silent during typical desktop listening sessions. Power is drawn from the mains via the built‑in supply, avoiding an external brick on the desk.

Deciding specification

Frequency response spans 98 Hz to 20 kHz from 2.75 inch full‑range drivers in a 0.65 L isometric cavity with a rear bass port. A subwoofer output is provided for users who need deeper low‑frequency extension. Buyers who require room‑filling volume or sub‑bass below 98 Hz should consider a larger system.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the Edifier G2000 speakers and which connection step is often missed?

Connect the left and right speakers together, then plug the 3.5 mm AUX cable, USB cable or pair via Bluetooth 4.2; the step people miss is selecting the USB sound card as the default audio device in the operating system.

What maintenance will the G2000 speakers need over time?

Keep the matte panels and metal laser-engraved surfaces dust-free with a dry cloth; the 2.75-inch full-range drivers and 0.65 L isometric cavities have no user-serviceable parts.

What is the first limit I will hit during long gaming sessions with these speakers?

The 8 W + 8 W continuous undistorted power rating is the first ceiling; pushing beyond it into the 32 W peak zone can raise distortion above the 25 dB (A) noise floor.
