USB 7.1 gaming headset

The Edifier G2II is a wired USB headset that delivers 7.1 virtual surround sound through 50mm drivers. It includes a detachable noise-cancelling microphone and RGB lighting, and works with PC, PS4 and Mac. The headset weighs 9.38 ounces and uses plush over-ear pads for extended comfort.

Competitive gamers and voice chat users

This headset suits players who want USB plug-and-play audio with software-adjustable 7.1 effects, EQ presets and microphone enhancements. The lightweight frame and rotating boom mic help during long sessions. Buyers who need wireless freedom or active noise cancellation should look elsewhere.

7.1 virtual surround via USB

The single specification that decides fit is the USB 7.1 connection, which enables the Edifier software suite for virtual speaker shifting, environment effects and magic voice filters on Windows. Without a USB port and the companion software the surround processing and advanced mic features are unavailable.
