Nano Bluetooth USB adapter

The Edimax BT-8500 is a nano USB adapter that adds Bluetooth connectivity to a desktop or laptop. Its compact form factor stays almost flush with the port, making it suitable for travel or permanent installation. The adapter provides wireless audio and data links for peripherals such as headsets, speakers, keyboards and mice. No external antenna or bulky housing is required.

Users needing long-range or multi-device Bluetooth

Buyers who require extended transmission distance or simultaneous connections to many devices should consider a full-size adapter with an external antenna. The tiny chassis limits antenna gain, so range is shorter than larger models. Systems without a free USB-A port cannot use this adapter directly. Users who need the latest Bluetooth specification revisions should verify compatibility before purchase.

How much power does the BT-8500 draw when it stays plugged in all day?
