Questions about this item

Will the eero Pro 6E mesh nodes need firmware updates or hardware replacement as Wi-Fi standards change?

The system receives automatic firmware updates through the eero app to maintain security and performance. Hardware has no user-serviceable parts; replacement is only needed if a future standard becomes essential for your devices.

What throughput limit appears first when the 2.5 GbE WAN port and tri-band radios run at full load continuously?

The 2.5 GbE port caps wired throughput at 2.5 Gbps, while combined wireless client speeds peak at 1.6 Gbps; total aggregate traffic is rated at 2.3 Gbps, so the WAN port is the first hard ceiling.

How much heat and fan noise should I expect from a node operating 24/7 in a 25 °C room?

Each node is passively cooled with no fan, so it produces zero audible noise. The chassis stays within the 0–40 °C operating range; at 25 °C ambient it runs warm but well inside thermal limits.
