Adapter purpose and audience

This USB-C female to Yoga 3 male adapter lets you power a Lenovo Yoga 3 laptop from a 20V USB Power Delivery source. It suits owners who want to replace a lost barrel charger or use a modern GaN charger with the older rectangular port.

Installation and common issues

The 90-degree angled plug inserts directly into the laptop and the Type-C female socket accepts a compatible PD cable. No drivers or configuration are required. The adapter only passes power, so data or video signals will not work through it.

Sustained-load behaviour

Rated for 20V PD input, the converter maintains a steady connection during extended charging sessions. The compact 40x35x9mm housing has no active cooling, so it relies on ambient airflow and should not be covered while the laptop draws full power.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the adapter is delivering the correct 20 V PD output after connecting it?

The laptop should charge normally and show the 20 V power profile in its battery or system settings once the Type-C female port is connected to a compatible PD source.

What comes in the box and do I need any extra cables or tips?

Only the 40 x 35 x 9 mm DC converter plug with Type-C female and 90° Yoga 3 male connectors is supplied; you must provide your own USB-C PD cable and charger.

Which version should I choose if I need a right-angled Yoga 3 tip for a 20 V PD laptop?

This single model provides the 90° Yoga 3 male tip and Type-C female port rated for 20 V PD; no other versions or capacities are offered.
