Bundle contents

This bundle pairs a powered 10 inch subwoofer with two 6.5 inch floor-standing speakers for a complete stereo or home-theatre system. The subwoofer uses a custom driver and Class D amplifier in a sealed cabinet. Each tower speaker employs a three-way bass-reflex design with an aluminium tweeter and aramid-fibre woofers.

Compatibility check

The subwoofer requires a mains outlet and a line-level input from your receiver or pre-amplifier. The floor speakers need speaker-cable runs from the same amplifier channels. Verify that your amplifier can drive an 87.5 dB sensitivity load and that you have space for towers and a 12.2 by 12.9 by 12.2 inch subwoofer cabinet weighing 22.7 lbs.

Build and connections

The subwoofer’s sealed enclosure and front-panel controls allow placement near walls without port noise. Binding posts on each tower accept banana plugs or bare wire for secure daily use. The black ash vinyl wrap resists fingerprints, and the 31 to 38 kHz frequency range covers deep bass through extended treble for music and film soundtracks.

Questions about this item

What comes inside the Elac Debut 3.0 bundle and is anything extra required?

The box contains one DS103-BK 10 inch powered subwoofer and two DF63-BK 6.5 inch floor speakers in black. The subwoofer has a built-in Class D amplifier, so no separate amp is needed for bass. The floor speakers are passive and require an external amplifier or receiver to operate.

How do I choose between the components in this Debut 3.0 package?

The package is a fixed bundle: one 10 inch subwoofer (model DS103) and a pair of 6.5 inch tower speakers (model DF63). There are no alternate versions or capacities to select; the two components are designed to work together as a matched system.

What does the 31 to 38Khz frequency response mean when the speakers are set up in a room?

The towers reproduce frequencies from 31 Hz up to 38 kHz at 87.5 dB sensitivity, covering deep bass through extended treble. The subwoofer’s custom 10 inch driver and sealed cabinet handle the lowest octaves, blending with the towers for full-range output in stereo or home theater use.
