True 11.1.4 Channel Surround

The Samsung HW-Q990F delivers true 11.1.4 channel surround sound with a wireless subwoofer and rear speakers. It is built for viewers who want cinematic Dolby Atmos height effects without running cables across the room. Q-Symphony synchronises compatible Samsung TV speakers with the bar for a wider front stage. Smart integration and Spotify Connect add streaming convenience.

Wireless Connectivity and Build

The soundbar measures 48.5 inches wide, 5.43 inches deep and 2.79 inches high. The subwoofer is a 9.8 inch cube standing 9.91 inches tall. HDMI and optical inputs handle source switching while Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enable wireless TV connection and music streaming. A supplied remote controls all zones and the included screen cleaner kit helps maintain the display.

Upgrade Path and Value

This system replaces traditional 5.1 or 7.1 wired sets that cannot render overhead channels. The jump is worth it when the source material carries Atmos or DTS:X metadata and the seating area allows rear speaker placement. Buyers who only need stereo TV audio or lack space for rear satellites will not use the full channel count.
