Elac OD-M81-W Muro Outdoor Speaker

The Elac OD-M81-W Muro is an indoor/outdoor home audio speaker built for versatile placement. Its IP66 rating certifies resistance to dust and powerful water jets for permanent exterior mounting. The clean, knob-free profile blends into patios, gardens or interior walls without visual clutter. Supplied brackets enable vertical, horizontal, wall, ceiling or corner orientation.

Guided shoulder mount and removable port plugs

A guided shoulder mount system aligns the cabinet on the bracket for single-person installation. No large external knobs protrude, so the speaker sits flush once seated. Removable port plugs let you switch between a sealed configuration for maximum weather protection and a ported configuration for enhanced bass when conditions allow. Ensure plugs are fully seated to maintain the IP66 seal.

Buyers needing flexible indoor/outdoor sound

This speaker suits owners who want one model for covered patios, pool areas and interior zones without running separate product lines. The 81 mm driver scale supports mid-sized listening areas with clear dialogue and music playback. Buyers requiring built-in amplification, wireless streaming or multi-room networking should look at powered or networked alternatives. Installations demanding submersion resistance beyond IP66 need a marine-rated unit.
