What this game is and who it is for

College Football 25 Standard Edition is a sports video game made for the PlayStation 5 console. It carries an E (Everyone) rating, so it is suitable for players of all ages. The title focuses on American college football action. It is not for buyers who want a version on another platform or a special edition with extra digital content.

Installation and common issues

Insert the disc into the PlayStation 5 and follow the on-screen prompts to install the game. An internet connection is usually required for the initial update and any subsequent patches. Installation can fail if the console storage is full or if the disc is dirty or damaged. It is not for owners of the PlayStation 4 who expect the disc to work on older hardware.

Check your setup before ordering

Verify that you own a PlayStation 5 console, as this disc will not run on PlayStation 4 or other systems. Confirm you have enough free space on the internal SSD or an approved expansion drive for the install and updates. Ensure your console firmware is up to date to avoid launch errors. It is not for players who only have access to a previous-generation console.

Questions about this item

How do I verify College Football 25 launches and reaches the main menu on my PlayStation 5?

Insert the disc, wait for the installation prompt, then start the game; the ESRB E rating screen followed by the EA Sports title sequence confirms it is running as intended.

What physical items come with the Standard Edition and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the PlayStation 5 game disc and any printed inserts; no additional hardware is required, though online modes need a PlayStation Plus subscription sold separately.

Should I choose the Standard Edition or a different version of College Football 25 for PlayStation 5?

The Standard Edition includes the full base game on disc; other editions may add bonus content or virtual currency, so pick Standard if you only want the core experience.
