Purpose and Audience

The Elera Ear Thermometer is a non-contact infrared device designed for quick temperature checks on adults, children and infants. It suits households, nurseries and clinical settings where speed and hygiene are priorities.

Measurement Limits

Forehead readings are taken from 0–3 cm away and can be influenced by sweat, hair or ambient conditions; ear mode targets the eardrum for a closer core-temperature estimate. Accuracy is controlled within ±0.4 and at least 30 seconds should separate consecutive measurements for consistency.

Capacity and Headroom

The unit stores up to 40 temperature records, allowing fever trends to be tracked over several days. Memory recall covers routine monitoring needs, while the four-colour fever alarm and mute function support overnight use without disturbing sleep.

Questions about this item

Should I choose ear mode or forehead mode for the most accurate reading?

Ear mode measures eardrum infrared radiation for accurate core temperature. Forehead mode scans skin surface, which can be affected by ambient temperature, sweat, or angle. For the most accurate reading, use ear mode.

What does the 1 second reading mean when I am actually using the thermometer?

The thermometer delivers a temperature result within 1 second after triggering a measurement, allowing quick checks without prolonged contact.

What does the 40 memory capacity actually let me do?

It stores up to 40 temperature readings so you can track changes over time and review previous measurements on the LCD screen.
