For Mac pianists beyond the basics

eMedia Piano For Dummies Level 2 is Mac software for players who already read basic notes, know the middle C position and can play simple melodies. The downloadable course builds on those foundations with 150 step-by-step lessons that extend hand positions, introduce new chords and scales, and develop further technique.

Simple download, microphone needed

Installation is a direct download to any Mac running OS X 10.4 or later. No physical media arrives. The only common issue is forgetting that Instant Feedback requires a working microphone so the computer can listen and highlight correctly played notes in green.

Requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later

This single requirement decides whether the software will run on your machine. If your Mac meets that version you gain over 30 large-format videos, live recorded songs and adjustable accompaniments; if it does not, the programme will not install.
