SmartSet Clock Radio with Bluetooth 5.1

The Emerson CKS1521 is a mains-powered clock radio that sets its own time and date automatically, even after a power cut. It pairs with phones and tablets over Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless audio streaming and includes a USB port for charging devices. A 1.4-inch orange LED display, digital FM tuner and dual-alarm function complete the bedside feature set.

Bedside Users Who Want Auto-Set Time

Suits anyone who wants a clock that never needs manual time setting and can stream music from a smartphone without cables. The USB charger keeps a phone topped up overnight. Not for buyers who want more storage for presets beyond the 20 FM stations provided. Not for users who need a battery-backed clock that runs without mains power.

Bluetooth 5.1 Streaming with 10-Metre Range

The single specification that decides fit is the Bluetooth 5.1 connection, which supports wireless audio pairing up to 10 metres away. If your phone or tablet uses this standard, you can stream music or podcasts directly to the clock radio without an auxiliary cable.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the CKS1521 and do I need to buy any cables separately?

The package contains the clock radio unit only; it runs on corded electric power so no separate power cable is required, and Bluetooth 5.1 handles wireless audio without extra leads.

Which alarm mode should I choose — weekday, weekend or daily — and how many FM presets can I store?

You can set two independent alarms and pick Every Day, Weekdays Only or Weekends Only for each; the digital FM tuner stores up to 20 station presets.

What does the 1.4 inch orange LED display show in a dark bedroom and how bright can it get?

The 1.4" display offers three manual brightness levels plus an auto-dim mode that adjusts automatically, so the orange digits stay readable without glare at night.
