All-in-One Portable Entertainment

The Emerson EDL-2870H-BK combines a 7" LCD screen with a DVD player, digital ATSC TV tuner, AM/FM radio, Bluetooth streaming, and USB/SD media playback in a single black boombox. Twin speakers deliver 5W RMS output. Power options include an AC 120V adapter or eight C batteries for true portability. A remote control is included for convenient operation.

Ideal for Mobile Viewing & Listening

This unit suits users who want free over-the-air HD TV, DVD movies, and music streaming while camping, travelling, or during power outages. The built-in tuner and disc drive remove the need for internet access. Buyers who require higher audio power, larger screen sizes, or modern smart-TV apps should look at other solutions. The fixed 7" display limits group viewing comfort.

Flexible Connections for Any Setup

Composite A/V output lets you send video to a larger external display while using the internal speakers or headphone jack. The 3.5mm AUX input accepts phones, tablets, or other audio sources, and a microphone input supports karaoke or announcements. USB and SD/SDHC slots play MPEG-2, MP3, WMA, AC-3, and OGG files directly. Battery operation frees the system from wall outlets entirely.

Questions about this item

Does the boombox need its own antenna to pick up digital TV channels?

The built-in ATSC tuner receives free over-the-air HD stations without an external antenna connection.

Can I connect an older DVD player or game console to the 7" screen using the composite video input?

An HD input is provided for digital sources; composite A/V output sends the internal player's signal to a larger display, not the other way round.

How do I confirm the twin speakers are delivering the rated 5W RMS output after setup?

Play a CD or streamed track at a moderate volume; clear, undistorted stereo sound from both drivers indicates the amplifier is operating at its specified level.
