The Emerson EPD-1050 is a 10-inch portable DVD player that includes a built-in ATSC digital TV tuner for over-the-air broadcasts. It plays DVD, DVD±R/RW, CD and CD-R/RW discs, plus MP3, MPEG-4 and JPEG files from USB flash drives or SD cards up to 32 GB. A 270-degree swivel screen lets you adjust the viewing angle for different seating positions.

Connections and Power Options

Composite AV input and output let you connect external sources or send video to a larger TV, while a headphone jack provides private listening. The unit runs from the included AC adapter, a DC 12 V car cord or its rechargeable battery, which delivers up to three hours of playback. A full-function remote control handles playback and tuning from across the room.

Ideal for Travel and Rear-Seat Use

This player suits families wanting movies and live TV on road trips, or anyone needing a compact screen that can swivel for tabletop or headrest mounting. Buyers who need Blu-ray playback, HDMI output, streaming apps or longer battery life should look at other devices.
