Ready-to-use two-pack for group outings

The EMERSON F22 ships as a pair of FRS radios so families or small teams can start talking straight away. Each unit operates on the licence-free FRS band and includes 22 channels with 155 privacy codes to reduce interference from other users. A 1400 mAh cell delivers up to 72 hours of typical use between charges. The set is water resistant and weighs 0.399 kg for the pair.

22 channels and 155 codes cover most recreational

The 22 FRS channels handle routine coordination on hikes, campsites or cruise decks while the 50 CTCSS and 105 DCS codes let groups isolate their conversations. Dual monitoring and channel scanning help catch incoming calls on a secondary frequency. The radio also receives 12 NOAA weather channels with an automatic alert tone for severe conditions. Cross-brand compatibility extends the pool of usable handsets.

Type-C charging and LED light add campsite

A USB Type-C port accepts power from a vehicle socket, power bank or laptop so the 3.7 V pack can be topped up without a dedicated cradle. The built-in flashlight provides hands-free illumination after dark. VOX hands-free mode, keypad lock and a backlit LCD keep operation simple while gloves are on. A Kenwood-style 2-pin jack allows an optional headset for quieter environments.

Questions about this item

Will the EMERSON F22 radios work with the older FRS walkie-talkies I already own?

Yes, the F22 is cross-compatible with all FRS and GMRS radios, so it will communicate with your existing units when set to the same channel and privacy code.

How can I confirm the NOAA weather alert is functioning after I charge the radios?

Enable the weather alarm mode; the radio will automatically scan the 12 NOAA channels and sound an alert tone if it detects a severe-weather broadcast.

Does the 2-pack include everything needed to charge both units, or do I need extra cables?

The package provides two radios with 1400 mAh batteries installed and a USB Type-C charging cable; any standard USB power source can be used to charge them.
