Adds ten SATA 3.0 ports via PCIe with ASMedia ASM1166 and JMB575 chipsets, a heatsink, and dual-profile brackets for software RAID arrays
This EN-Labs expansion card adds ten SATA 3.0 ports through a single PCIe x4 slot. It uses ASMedia ASM1166 and JMB575 chipsets to deliver 6 Gbps transfer speeds. A heatsink is fitted for thermal management. Both full-profile and low-profile brackets are included for case mounting.
The card suits servers, NAS builds or workstations that require ten simultaneous SATA connections for SSDs, HDDs or optical drives. It supports software RAID only, so users who need a hardware RAID controller should look elsewhere. LED indicators show power and activity status per drive. Driver-free operation works with Windows, Linux, Synology and Ubuntu.
The card occupies a PCIe x4 slot and provides ten ports through the combined ASM1166 and JMB575 controllers. Verify that your motherboard has a free x4 slot (electrical or physical) before purchase.

Insert the card into a PCIe x4 slot, attach either the full-profile or low-profile bracket to match your case, secure the bracket screw to the chassis, then connect up to 10 SATA drives; the step often missed is swapping the bracket before mounting the card.
The onboard heatsink requires only occasional dust removal to maintain thermal performance; the ASMedia ASM1166 and JMB575 chipsets have no user-serviceable parts, so no scheduled component replacement is needed.
The PCIe x4 host link caps aggregate throughput, so when all 10 ports run heavy simultaneous I/O the bus bandwidth becomes the first bottleneck rather than the individual SATA 3.0 6 Gbps links.
