UASP support raises sustained throughput

UASP protocol reduces command overhead compared with the standard bulk-endpoint path, so large sequential transfers hold higher speeds for longer. The host controller must also support UASP to see the benefit. Backward compatibility with SATA 6 Gbps, 3 Gbps and 1.5 Gbps drives is maintained.

Replaces docks or enclosures for quick drive access

The adapter suits technicians who swap drives frequently and want minimal desk clutter. It does not power 3.5 inch drives because the 12 V rail is absent from USB Vbus. Buyers needing permanent mounting or 3.5 inch support should choose a powered dock or enclosure instead.
