3-in-1 DisplayPort Adapter

The EN-Labs ADDP2VDHBK converts a DisplayPort source into one HDMI, DVI or VGA output at a time. It supports video up to 1920x1080p for extending a laptop or desktop to a monitor, HDTV or projector. Audio passes only through the HDMI port with uncompressed 7.1, 5.1 or 2-channel digital sound. VGA and DVI connections require a separate speaker for audio.

Installation & Common Issues

Plug-and-play operation means no driver or external power adapter is needed. The DisplayPort plug has latches with a release button for a secure connection. A DP++ source is required for HDMI and DVI conversion; a standard DisplayPort signal will not drive those ports. Only one display output can be active, so simultaneous multi-monitor use is not possible.

Interface Limits

The adapter relies on the source providing a DP++ dual-mode signal for HDMI and DVI output; without it those ports will not function. Maximum supported resolution is 1920x1080p, so higher-resolution displays will be limited to this ceiling. Audio is restricted to the HDMI path, leaving VGA and DVI video-only unless an external audio device is used.
