Cools 2280 M.2 SSDs with a 6 mm copper heat pipe, 32 aluminum fins and 14.8 W/m.K thermal pads for 10–30 °C lower temperatures
This passive cooler fits the 2280 form factor and uses a 6 mm copper heat pipe with 32 aluminium fins to draw heat away from the controller and NAND. It is intended for builders who want to prevent thermal throttling on high-speed SSDs without adding a fan.
The 79×24×48 mm assembly combines a pure aluminium electroplated base, a stainless-steel mounting plate and a grooved fin design that increases surface area. Double-sided 1.0 mm and 0.5 mm silicone pads rated at 14.8 W/m.K ensure full contact on both sides of the drive.
The heat sink adds height above the M.2 slot, so verify that your board has enough space between the slot and any adjacent components or heatsinks. It only supports the 80 mm 2280 length; shorter 2230 or 2242 modules will not mount correctly.

The heatsink is built for the 2280 form factor and works with both NVMe and SATA M.2 SSDs; the copper pipe and fin stack do not restrict the electrical interface.
At 48 mm tall and 24 mm wide it sits above most board-mounted shields, but verify your specific board layout because the stainless-steel base plate adds thickness.
Place the 1.0 mm pad on the controller side and the 0.5 mm pad on the NAND side; using the wrong thickness on either side is the most common fitment error.
