What this adapter does

The EN-Labs PSMDP2HD is a passive Mini DisplayPort to HDMI converter that connects a Mini DP source such as a Macbook, laptop or desktop video card to an HDMI monitor, projector or HDTV. It carries both video and audio without needing external power or driver installation.

What the bundle changes

Only the converter itself is included, so a separate HDMI male-to-male cable must be purchased to complete the link. The adapter simply bridges the Mini DisplayPort output to the HDMI input, enabling extended or mirrored desktop modes immediately after connection.

Limits of the passive interface

This passive design requires a DP++ source that can output an HDMI-compatible signal; it will not work with a pure DisplayPort-only port. The maximum supported resolutions are 1920x1080 for HDTV and 1920x1200 for computer displays, so higher-resolution panels will be limited to these modes.
