EN-Labs

EN-Labs Quad M.2 NVME PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16 Expansion Card

SKU CH-RWMM-T7XCG

Adds four M.2 NVME SSDs via a PCIe 4.0 or 3.0 x16 slot that supports x16 bifurcation, with per-drive LED status indicators

  • Add four NVMe drives simultaneously via PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16 slot
  • Each drive runs at full 32Gbps bandwidth with PCIe 4.0 support
  • Individual LED indicators show real-time activity for every installed SSD
  • Supports M.2 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form-factor NVMe drives
  • Enables software RAID arrays in Windows 10 or third-party tools

Quad M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16 Expansion Card

This add-on card lets you install four M-key NVMe SSDs into a single PCIe x16 slot. It is built for users whose motherboard supports PCIe x16 bifurcation and who want to run multiple high-speed drives from one expansion slot.

PCIe x16 bifurcation requirement

The card only works when the motherboard can split the x16 link into four x4 lanes, typically set as "PCIe x4x4x4x4" in the BIOS. Without that bifurcation support, only one SSD will be recognised and the remaining three slots stay inactive.

M-key NVMe protocol only

The four slots accept M.2 drives in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths but they only support NVMe or AHCI protocol SSDs. SATA-based NGFF drives with B-key or B+M-key pinouts are not compatible and will not function in this card.

Questions about this item

How do I pick the right M.2 NVME SSD size for this card?

The card accepts M-key NVME drives in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths; choose the longest size your chassis can fit for maximum capacity.

What does the 4x32Gbps figure mean once the card is installed?

Each of the four slots can run at up to 32Gbps when the motherboard provides PCIe 4.0 x16 bifurcation, giving four full-speed NVME links.

What interface standard does the card use and what does it cap in practice?

It uses a PCIe 4.0 or 3.0 x16 slot with x4x4x4x4 bifurcation; without that BIOS setting only one drive is recognised.
