3.5 mm right-angle plug to MIDI DIN5 adapter

This 1.5 metre cable links a 3.5 mm audio output to a 5-pin MIDI DIN socket using discrete 5-pin wiring. It is built for musicians and studio operators who need a direct connection between consumer audio gear and professional MIDI instruments. The right-angle plug reduces strain on tight panel jacks. It carries standard MIDI messages including SysEx.

5-pin discrete wiring covers standard MIDI only

The adapter follows the conventional MIDI current-loop specification, so it works with keyboards, synthesisers, organs, electric pianos and guitars that expect a DIN5P interface. It does not support the proprietary JamstiK MIDI protocol, so owners of that system will need a different cable. No active electronics are present; the cable simply maps each pin one-to-one.

1.5 m length suits desktop and stage runs

At one and a half metres the cable reaches from a laptop or audio interface to a nearby rack or pedalboard without excess slack. Longer three metre and shorter half metre versions exist in the same series if the distance is greater or tighter. The fixed length cannot be extended without adding a second MIDI cable and coupler.
