Gray evaporative cooling vest

The Ergodyne 6665 vest uses an evaporative soak method to provide personal cooling for workers in hot environments. A water-repellent liner keeps the interior dry while the 100 percent quilted nylon shell and mesh side panels promote airflow. It is sized 3XL to fit chest measurements between 50 in and 54 in.

Soak activation and ventilation

Soaking the garment activates the cooling effect for up to 4 hr before re-soaking is required. The mesh side panels increase ventilation to support the evaporative process across the front and back surfaces. A zipper closure allows the vest to be put on or removed quickly during breaks.

Hand-wash care and length constraint

The 27 in length covers the torso without extending below the hips for most wearers. Maintenance is limited to hand washing, which restricts the vest to manual cleaning rather than machine cycles. Workers needing longer continuous cooling or high-visibility compliance will need a different solution.
