Fixed-lens dome camera

The ESCAM QD100 is a 1.3 megapixel dome network camera with a 3.6 mm fixed lens and 720p resolution. It supports H.264 dual-stream encoding at up to 25 or 30 frames per second. Infrared LEDs provide night vision up to 10 metres. The camera connects via RJ45 Ethernet and supports ONVIF for recorder compatibility.

Indoor monitoring with wired power

This camera suits installers who need a compact dome for indoor coverage and can run a 12 V DC power line to the mounting point. The fixed 70-degree horizontal view and single 3.6 mm focal length cannot be adjusted remotely. Buyers who need varifocal zoom, motorised pan-tilt, or battery-powered wireless installation should look at other models.

3.6 mm fixed focal length

The 3.6 mm board-in lens delivers a fixed 70-degree horizontal angle of view and cannot be changed after installation. This single specification determines whether the camera covers the desired scene width at the intended mounting distance. Verify the field of view matches the area you need to monitor before purchase.

Questions about this item

How often will the IR LEDs need replacement for night vision up to 10m?

The IR LEDs are built into the camera module and are not user-replaceable; they are rated for the life of the device under normal operation.

What bitrate ceiling limits sustained recording quality on the H.264 stream?

The H.264 bitrate is capped at 4096 Kbps, which is the maximum configurable rate for the main 720P stream.

How warm does the dome get when powered by DC12V 1A continuously?

Power draw is 12 W from the DC12V 1A supply; the compact dome dissipates this heat passively without a fan.
