1.3MP Dome Network Camera

The ESCAM QD520 is a compact dome camera built for indoor or sheltered outdoor surveillance. It delivers 1.3 megapixel resolution at 1280x720 pixels through a 3.6mm fixed lens. The 1/4 inch CMOS sensor captures 25 frames per second in the main stream. Power is supplied via DC12V 1A over a single RJ45 connection.

ONVIF H.264 Dual-Stream Support

ONVIF compatibility lets the camera integrate with standard NVRs and CMS software without proprietary lock-in. H.264 dual-stream encoding provides a 720P main stream up to 25fps and a D1 or CIF sub-stream for remote viewing. Bit rates scale from 16K to 4096Kbps to match bandwidth limits. The camera includes 3D noise reduction and up to four privacy masking zones.

10m IR Range and Fixed 70° View

Infrared LEDs illuminate up to 10 metres in total darkness, switching automatically via the ICR day/night filter. The fixed 3.6mm lens gives a horizontal angle of view of 70 degrees with an F1.8 maximum aperture. Minimum illumination reaches 0.01 lux in monochrome mode with IR active. The camera lacks Wi-Fi and audio interfaces, so it suits wired installations only.

Questions about this item

How often should the IR LEDs be checked given the 10m night-vision range?

The IR LEDs are rated for up to 10 metres; inspect the illuminators annually for dust or moisture buildup that could reduce effective range.

At what frame rate does the main 720P stream cap during continuous recording?

The main stream is limited to 25 fps at 720P resolution, so sustained recording will not exceed that frame rate.

How much heat does the camera produce when powered by the 12V 1A supply all day?

Drawing 12 V at 1 A means the unit dissipates roughly 12 watts continuously, so expect modest warmth but no active cooling requirement.
