A selector box lets two computers share four USB 2.0 devices with one-button switching and LED indication
This KVM switch lets two computers share four USB 2.0 devices with a single button press. It suits home users and small offices that want to keep a printer, scanner, keyboard, mouse or flash drive connected to both machines without unplugging cables. Compatibility spans Windows 10 through XP, Mac OS X, Linux and Chrome OS. No driver installation is required on supported systems.
The switch is bus powered and draws energy from the attached computers, so it stays active as long as either system is on. An optional micro-USB port accepts a standard 5 V adapter for peripherals that need more current, such as portable hard drives or SSDs. LED indicators show which computer currently owns the four ports. Switching is instant and does not interrupt the inactive system.
The enclosure provides four downstream USB 2.0 Type-A ports and two upstream cables for the host computers. A single push button on the top toggles ownership while LEDs confirm the active host at a glance. The optional power input uses a common micro-USB socket, avoiding proprietary bricks. Buyers who need to share more than four devices or connect more than two computers will need a different solution.

The unit has no fan and draws power from the USB bus, so it runs silently and stays cool during continuous use.
You need two USB 2.0 cables to link each computer to the switch; the package includes two such cables, and peripherals use their own standard USB leads.
Yes, USB 2.0 ports are backward compatible, so legacy USB 1.1 devices function normally through the four shared ports.
