Three HDMI inputs to one display

The ESTONE HDMI switch routes three source devices such as a Blu-ray player, game console or streaming stick to a single HDMI display. Switching is handled by the front-panel button or the included infrared remote control. It is intended for home-theatre setups, desktop workstations or any environment where multiple HDMI sources share one screen. Buyers who need more than three inputs or who require automatic switching based on signal detection should look elsewhere.

Passive operation with 48Gbps bandwidth

The unit draws power from the connected HDMI cables and adds no fan noise or heat to the system. It supports HDMI 2.1 signalling at up to 48Gbps, enabling 8K resolution at 60Hz, 4K at 120Hz and 1080p at 240Hz. Variable refresh rate, HDCP 2.3, HDR10 and Dolby Vision pass through without degradation. Audio formats including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and PCM 7.1 are also transmitted transparently.

Compact black enclosure with short-cable limit

The switch measures a compact footprint and features three HDMI inputs and one HDMI output on the rear panel. A small LED indicates the active port. The manufacturer notes that certified Ultra High Speed HDMI cables up to 1.5 metres on both input and output sides are required to reach the full 48Gbps bandwidth. Longer cables may reduce the maximum supported resolution or refresh rate. No external power adapter or mounting hardware is included.

Questions about this item

How do I connect three 8K sources to one display using the ESTONE switch and which step is often missed?

Connect each source to an HDMI input, link the output to your display, then power the unit via USB so the 48 Gbps bandwidth activates for 8K@60Hz.

What part will need replacement first if I swap cables daily?

The HDMI ports are rated for 10 000 insertions, so the cables themselves will wear out before the switch sockets.

At what cable length does 8K@60Hz become unreliable on this 2.1 switch?

The 48 Gbps signal stays stable up to 1.5 metres; longer runs may drop to 4K@120Hz or lower.
