The Essager CGA7A is a USB-A to USB-C cable rated for up to 80 W Power Delivery and 480 Mbps USB 2.0 data transfer. It includes an E-Marker chip to support the 7 A current required for high-wattage charging. The 2 m blue cable uses a braided nylon jacket and reinforced connector necks tested to 35000 bend cycles. It is intended for charging and syncing phones, tablets and laptops that accept USB-C power input.

Suited for USB-C devices charged from USB-A ports

The cable works with any USB-C device that draws power from a USB-A charger or port supporting PD, QC, AFC or FCP protocols. It does not carry video signals, so users who need DisplayPort or HDMI alternate modes cannot use it for external monitors. Buyers who require USB 3.x or USB4 data rates should select a cable specified for those speeds.

80 W Power Delivery via USB-A connector

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 80 W PD rating over a USB-A plug. Your charger or power bank must explicitly support 80 W output on its USB-A port and the device must accept that profile over USB-C. If either end is limited to a lower PD level, the cable will negotiate the lower rate instead.
