Converts HDMI 1.3 input up to 1080p 60Hz to composite RCA and 3.5mm audio with PAL/NTSC switch and USB power
The ESTONE adapter takes an HDMI source up to 1080p at 60Hz and down-converts it to composite CVBS video at 480i or 576i plus stereo audio on a 3.5mm jack and three RCA plugs. It is built for owners of older TVs, VCRs or DVD recorders that lack an HDMI input but need to display content from a streaming stick, laptop or game console. The aluminium shell weighs 150g and draws power from an included USB supply.
This unit replaces a direct HDMI connection when the display only accepts analogue composite signals. The jump is worth it if you want to keep using a legacy television or recorder without buying a new screen. It cannot reverse the process, so it will not turn RCA sources into HDMI, and it does not pass 3D or signals above 1080p.
A free USB port or charger is required to power the converter through its 5V input. The package includes the USB cable and power adapter, so no extra purchase is needed. No drivers are installed; the device works immediately after connecting HDMI and selecting NTSC or PAL with the slide switch. Buyers who need HDMI output or higher-resolution analogue formats such as component will need a different solution.

Connect the source to the 1×HDMI input, then run three RCA cables — yellow for composite video, white and red for stereo audio — from the 3×RCA output to the TV or recorder; a 3.5 mm aux cable can be used instead of the RCA audio pair.
Plug the included USB power cable into a 5 V USB port or charger; the converter will not pass video without external power, and forgetting to supply power is the step most users miss.
Replace the USB cable if the converter loses sync or the LED flickers, and flip the N/P switch whenever the connected display shows a black-and-white picture instead of colour.
